The Practitioner
“The body travels more easily than the mind, and until we have limbered up our imagination, we continue to think as though we had stayed home. We have not really budged a step until we take up residence in someone else’s point of view.”
~ John Erskine
What does a Whole Brain Practitioner do?
Consider me to be the locksmith of your mind, the windscreen wiper of your thoughts, the accelarator and the power steering of our thinking vehicle.
You can stick with what you know or I can help you unlock the ride of your life
You can stick with what you’re thinking or I can clear it and give you a fresh outlook
You can stick with what seems your average route or I can steer you to faster success
I don’t define you but make it a lot easier to recognise obstacles and overcome them.
Challenges are different for different people and where some may have a big picture all at once and fill in the details later, for others this is impossible because they prefer to take matters step-by-step and rather create their own bigger picture that way.
Your brain has a natural thinking preference in a dominant area, switching to demands placed on it for another type, frequently calling on less preferred or least preferred areas. The further you move away from your natural thinking preference, the more daunting a situation may seem to you. This, I find fascinating as practitioner.
Of invaluable benefit is what I call your Thinking Profile. This clearly shows your natural thinking preferences and not only does it give insight gained from the results but you can immediately enhance the overall experience of your world, understand yourself, family, friends and others around you better, whether that be on the road, the office, in the boardroom, at school, at varsity, at home…simply everywhere you go.
My biggest reward is to see you grow, to guide you in making sense of why you do what you do, and how you do it to get to your full picture. You can start from any point most comfortable to you and it is my job to shadow you, your thoughts, and your thinking preference to ensure that I maximise your experience when I assist you with enhancing your world and even your driving instruction.
Yes, you read right, my passion for people and road safety started a unique, or rather, niche direction for me as Whole Brain Practitioner with a very focused application for the Neethling Brain Instruments (NBI™) and I use these instruments as my instrument of choice that I apply in overall wellbeing of clients in general but also specifically in my driving instruction.
I also take a very special interest in people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD)*, the learner drivers, their communication-, family-, education-, training-, and work issues; the Visual-Spatial people that think, learn, and do things differently.
ADHD/ADD is NOT a disability - people often just DIS-respect your ABILITY.
My own ADHD lends me Hyperfocus as my greatest gift in coaching and to give you an idea - it’s kinda like super-single-minded-attention on 5 turbo chargers and a good shot of steroids, reserved for those things that I specifically love to do, like working with people; guiding them and coaching them.
As for Driving Instruction…
I have a wide client base, ranging between total beginners and advanced learner drivers, to nervous souls that learn to drive in their 40’s, to corporate- and 80 year old drivers doing driving assessments. My skills and tools are all-embracing in my labour of love as Specialist Driving Coach at A Perfect Beginning.
